An Foras Feasa is the research institute of the Faculty of Arts, Celtic Studies, and Philosophy. It is one of Maynooth’s flagship institutes facilitating and encourging research across the Faculty. It does this by hosting a wide variety of public events and lectures, a Visiting Fellow programme, and supporting funded research. AFF is aligned with two of the university’s research themes, Human Cultures, Experience and Creativity, and Humanities in Practice: Sources, Resources and Discources.

An Foras Feasa has particular expertise in digital humanities and is home to a wide variety of DH research projects,  as well as the Masters in Digital Humanities and the PhD in Digital Arts and Humanities (DAH).  AFF is located on Maynooth’s North Campus in the state-of-the-art Iontas Building. The Institute has world-class facilities which includes a Digital Imaging Lab, space for up to 40 postgraduate students, and a variety of teaching and meeting spaces.
