Modelling Humanities Data

Assignments

  • Students will be required to complete lab work. (10%)
  • Students will be required to submit a practical assignment demonstrating the skills they have learned throughout the module. (Individual: 40%. Group work: 20%)
  • Students will be required to submit an essay exploring a theoretical aspect discussed in the module. (30%)

Discuss, with specific reference to the area of data modelling in digital humanities.

 2,500-3,000 words. 30% of final grade.

Lab Assignment 1

The lab in Week 4 will be marked and is worth 5% of your total grade for this module. You will be given the assignment details at the start of the lab in Week 4. You will have the lab and the following week to complete this assignment.

Group Work

The full 3 hours of 5 November will be used as a modelling workshop. Students will work in groups to complete the workshop tasks. The tasks will consist of all topics covered throughout the previous 4 weeks. This group assignment will be worth 20% of each students’ overall grade.
